The future of plastics depends on people
Powering Plastics: Skills, People and the Future is a special initiative at AMI Plastics World Expos 2026, putting the spotlight on the workforce challenges and opportunities shaping the future of our industry.
From attracting the next generation of talent to developing existing teams and transferring expertise between generations, Powering Plastics will bring the industry together to share ideas, experiences and practical solutions.

Mentor Pin Badge Program
Our new Mentor Pin Badge Program helps make networking and knowledge-sharing easier.
Experienced industry professionals can opt in during registration to receive a distinctive pin badge to wear on their event lanyard, signalling they are open to informal conversations with students, early-career attendees and those new to the plastics industry.
There is no formal commitment involved. The badge simply identifies approachable individuals who are willing to share advice, experiences and industry insights, helping create a more welcoming and connected event experience.

Jobs Board & Career Hub
This year we will be adding a dedicated Jobs Board & Career Hub to the show in partnership with Hunter Recruiting.
Ahead of the event, employers will be able to advertise career opportunities directly to registered attendees, helping connect businesses with skilled candidates from across the plastics industry. Vacancies will be actively promoted in the run-up to the show, creating valuable opportunities for both recruiters and job seekers before they even arrive in Cleveland.
During the event, the Hunter Recruiting team will be onsite, providing support and advice to businesses looking to attract talent, as well as individuals interested in exploring new career opportunities within the plastics sector.
More details on how to participate, post vacancies and connect with candidates will be announced soon.
Panel Discussions
Two dedicated panel discussions will explore how the industry can attract, develop and retain the talent needed for future success. From tackling the plastics skills gap to hearing directly from the next generation of industry professionals, these sessions will bring together voices from industry and education to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the workforce of tomorrow.
